Trips from the north.

Like the house boat one, did a similar in Kerala some time back.

Would have a go at that one, don%26#39;t have to share boat with others do you?

Ian what about:

Hiring a taxi for the day and exploring the coast further north (or south) visiting Mandrem, Morjim, Asvwem and Arambol beaches seeing all the sights on the way, if you have a good taxi driver he will point out the monkeys in the trees . Also Kiri beach and if you have time going across on the ferry to Tiracol fort. All for £10 - 15 pounds depending on you negotiating skills.

Also worth a trip is going into Panjim in the early evening by taxi and asking the driver to stay with you for the evening (about £5.00) Hop onto one of the river cruises, on the Mandovi, go on the one with the live bands and watch all the male Indian tourists bopping about to their Punjabi music whist enjoying a cool beer - pure magic cost of cruise - about £1.50 After that pop into one of the many fine restaurants for dinner such as the Dehli Dharbour cost depends on what you eat.

hi

good idea putting all the trips up like this

perrystanks.

smoking,we did the boat trip in march, one night

on the mandovi,it was ok,you are sharing with 6

other people,8 all together,the only thing i did%26#39;nt

like was there were 4 on the top deck and 4 on

the bottom and nowhere to get all 8 together to

have a beer or two and get to know each other

properly,4 had their meals and drinks upstairs

and 4 down.

we were on the bottom with a german couple,we

got on well with them although we don%26#39;t speak much

german,they did%26#39;nt speak much english,but,as we

all know, kingfisher is an international word,so we

were buying each other beers no problem,ha,ha,ha.

tom

Shame that. I%26#39;m not one for sharing confined spaces. In Kerela we had it to ourselves. God knows how I manage on planes.

I think this is excellent Ian and brilliant for first timers as it gives them an idea of what they can do and also the price - very important for those on a budget. You%26#39;re certainly working hard as a local expert!

yep very comprehensive ian, must have taken ages!! glad to see your taking your new status seriously.

BOB

thanks ian for your info.

we are going to north goa on the 24th may, do you think all these trips will be available then? or are we too outside the season? thanks.

Hi there sbo,

As goanluv said earlier you can always use a taxi to take you to most of the places the tour people go to, at that time of year they will be glad of the buisiness and should give you a great deal, just approach them and ask, they are very well informed as to what%26#39;s on and what%26#39;s not .

I am unsure if john%26#39;s trips operate outside main season.

have a great trip

ian......

Showales, if you are staying anywhere near the money exchange/shop called Babutes opposite Kamat hotel next door to Dona Tereza he hires our a huge 4x4 with a/c and driver for about £15 a day

Believe me its well worth it you can see far more from the vehicle too!

Good luck

Lyn
