I will be in India (Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Ranthambore Goa) between 25th april and 11th may. I understand the elections will be on and was worried that there is an increased likelihood of a terrorsit attack whilst i will be there?
Also, i have heard that alcohol is banend during the elections - is this just relevant to the local area where the elections are being held? Or is it a blanket ban across the country for the entire elections?

To the best of my understanding, foreigners are served alcohol in hotel bars even on no-alcohol days. The ban is for Indians. And I think it is local, for a specific area when voting is happening there.
