There is normally live music at the Saturday night market and there always used to be a party after Anjuna but I have not been to either for years

If you head towards Baga from Apora, down past MD there is a place that bands jam at on Sunday evenings called Myonas that can be good

Not a chance nowadays unless as someone else said, you get invited to that ';hippy'; party. There was an illegal rave broken up last weekend and a few arrested!

I think you%26#39;ll be surprised at how peaceful and slow paced Goa is, except the BCC strip.

A cuople of things to help you on your way. You%26#39;re staying at the MD. The majority of tourists at the MD are brits. There will be a few Indians on holiday or on business but mainly brits. Not lager swilling and singing brits.

The majority of tourists in Goa are Indian. Probably for the first time in your life you will be in a minority ethnic group. This attracts attention and you and your missus will have your photo taken by Indian tourists!

And finally, don%26#39;t be surprised when you see all the male Indian tourists holding hands!!!

Oh and the female Indian tourists all bathe in the sea fully clothed!

IMHO...most of the hippies have moved south to Kerala. Thats where you%26#39;ll be able to dance on the beach naked until midnight...hehe.
