Transitting between Delhi Domestic and International Airport

We are due to arrive at Delhi Domestic Airport from Goa and will need to transfer to Delhi International. We will have 7 hours between our flights. I understand that we can only check into International Departures 3 hours before our flight. We don´t want to leave the airport area, so where would be the best place to wait the 4 hours before we check-in? Are there any lounges that we can use before we check/in?

Hi can I ask what you did in the end as I have exactly the same problem (and my seven hours are between 1 and 8 am!)

Thanks

There is a food court/lounge opposite the departure terminal at the international airport. U can sit there, eat, sleep on the chairs ... if I remember correctly, it costs Rs 30 to enter.

What time of day is it?

Ah shucks I didn%26#39;t notice, you said the time already. Just stay put in the airport; and dilli billi already answered this in another of your posts.

The best way is to spend your time at the lounge ,there is a cafeteria and u could use I pod or something.

In the end we had not problem at all. We took a taxi from the Domestic terminal to the Radisson Hotel and had a great buffet dinner there. There was also a very comfortable lounge where we could have had just drinks. We then got a taxi from the Radisson to the International Departures terminal, allowing 3 hours for check-in. We were flying Air France and they had their own check-in area which operated very efficiently. We then proceeded through passport control which although there was a long queue was very efficient and the seating at our boarding gate was perfectly adequate.
