Hi, I have been going to Goa for last 4 years but went on a cruise up Amazon and Caribbean and got back today but really missing Goa, so was thinking of trying to get a late deal to go this Monday for a week (better than nothing) does anyone know since they have changed visa applications whether it is possible to get one before Monday ?

If you can travel on a Russian passport, there%26#39;s apparently a visa waiver system in operation whereby you can get your visa on arrival. So if you have dual nationality ......

2-3 days is absolute minimum and you would have to drop it off and pick up from Birmingham in person.

Thanks for your replies. KatieP I did telephone Birmingham on 95p min help line and they said submit it on line then track it 2-3 days, they did not say anything about dropping it off first, so now I am confused !!

Help has anyone applied on line requesting to pick up in person ?

Katie is right the quickest way is apply online print it off, make an apointment online, take it to Birmingham, then either pick it up 3 days later or have it posted to you.

we did the application on line made appointment for monday 16th march went back thursday 19th march 1 oclock to pick our pasports and visa up ! at the same time i have dropped my sons passport off and we have to go back to birmingham tomorrow to pick it up !! make your appointment on line you will been seeen more or less straight away you can just turn up and wait but you will wait hours to be seen there are no more same day visa%26#39;s anymore if you go tomorrow you will get it friday 1 oclock WORD OF WARNING DO NOT PARK OUTSIDE OR IN THE CARPARK ACCROSS THE ROAD THERE ARE CLAMPERS IN A VAN NO SOONER HAVE YOU WALKED AWAY FROM YOUR CAR THEY ARE THERE WITH THE CLAMP WE TIMED THEM LAST WEEK 15 SECS TO GET A CLAMP ON !! 拢135 TO RELEASE THE CLAMP 拢185 IF THEY TOW IT AWAY PLUS 拢60 A DAY STORAGE THEY MUST DO AT LEAST 12 A DAY !!! Cookie - if you apply on-line, you still have to print off the form and get your passport to VFS to get the visa processed. Delivering and picking up in person is quicker than posting it. The alternative is to deliver in person and get them to post back to you. For some reason the personal deliveries are processed more quickly than if you were to post it.

Hi guys thanks for all your replies and tips, I could apply on line tonight when I get home and my daughter could take them down in person tomorrow but i think I am clutching at straws here think there is no way of flying out on Monday !! I dont really want to leave it any later as the prices are going really high as you are into Easter holiday.

Ps Does it give you your appointment before you pay etc to take them down ? Where is the best place to park ? Sorry for all the questions we will be travelling from Liverpool ? Actually I dont really know Birmingham at all !!

There are trains about every half an hour from Liverpool Lime Street to Birmingham New Street. It takes about an hour and 45 mins.

Hi Katie and paula, please help, I have just completed our visas online got an appointment to go in tomorrow morning, paid online and then i went to print receipt and visas and my printer went mad !! I cannot go back in timed out it all went through and I have reference numbers but when I go in it says not recognised ? I need to print it off to take tomorrow dont I ?
