Tailor recommendations for you!

Hi there we have just returned from our honeymoon in wonderful Kerala and had the most fantastic time and we could not believe how wonderful and so kind the locals are!

We visited a fantastic tailor in Kovalam and he was a young lad, only 25 and was struggling to make ends meet. He made us 12 -14 items all made to measure and in the most beautiful silks and cottons you could imagine! He was such a lovely young man and his workmanship and work ethic was second to none and if he promised it tuesday at 2pm then it was done and ironed and packed waiting for you. I know i cant name names but if anyone wants his details the PM me anytime because this young man deserves praise and custom.

Congratualtions on your honeymoon and I hope you have many happy years together. We hope to travel there next year for our 40th wedding anniversary, over the years we have been together the wife has become one of my best friend%26#39;s as well. We have had our ups and downs but its very important to give and take.

If you have not got any connection with the tailor in question, then I believe i%26#39;m correct in saying that you are able to recommend him on here. The problem arises when somebody is posting and has a connection or is working within an establishment and is self promoting for business. As usual I stand to be corrected if i%26#39;m wrong.

Hi Wiliam

thank you so much for your message and the information you gave regarding the rules! I shall post the young lads details on here as he really excelled every expectation for us and he was so polite and courteous and prompt and we just felt he deserved our support.

Even though we got the worst case of Delhi belly ever known to man it will not deter us from returning asap. The people are the kindest, friendliest most wonderful people i could ever hope to meet.

Kindest regards

Wendy

Hi Wendy,

I myself have fallen foul to posting a direct link to the Charity that I help as I used to include a link in my signature line. However, I am permited to include a signature name with the Charity%26#39;s name along with my affiliation.

Many thanks for posting the information. I have great respect for anybody that tries to make life better from other%26#39;s that are in need of the basic%26#39;s of life.

However I find it hard to understand when you openly stated in an open thread the other day (before it was pulled) that the information you provided on another charity in the area, that this charity was in competition to the charity you are invloved with.

Surely its to the benefit of all registered charities in the area that they are ALL given equal footing and then individuals can decide themselves if they want to donate to a particular charity or not.

Hi

What I said was what I am expected to say to be in line with TA Guidelines. I help a Charity and I was posting this fact as I was answering/posting on a thread regarding another Charity. I said that I must state that I help another Charity to avoid any unfair competition - meaning that the post was posted intending for the Charity in the discusion and that I was in no way trying to win support for mine. Maybe competition was the wrong word but at the time, that was the only one that I could think of.

I hope you can now understand my meaning.
