Try get air conditioning if you can as it will be very hot and sticky in April, also get a taxi to your hotel from the airport as it will arrive before the bus.

The taxi place is outside the airport opposite where you come out, there is an ATM machine on the right as you come out, get about 2000 rupees out to pay for the taxi and tied you over till you get sorted out aand don`t use the change place or the taxi rank inside the airport it`s a rip off. Once you got some money go to the taxi stand and pay for your cab there, tip the driver once you arrive if he was ok about 50rps should be ok and don`t let anyone grab your bags or they will want a pound coin just for carrying it 50 yards.

Enjoy......

Hope you thoroughly enjoy your first trip Jimbo :)

Forgot to add, if you do get Taxi let your rep know that your not on the bus :)

If using taxis ALWAYS agree the price first.

No need to at the pre pay taxi rank, all the prices are listed and you get a reciept to give to the driver.

Everywhere else yes always agree a price

Do you think its worth getting a taxi even if youve paid for transfer?Never crossed my mind till I read this but is it a lot quicker and how much would it be likely to be to Baga?

Hi which hotel are you staying at in Baga, someone will then give you a rough idea. I%26#39;d say really worth getting a taxi even if you%26#39;ve paid for transfers, as the buses are very old, the drivers are a little crazy and depending on size of bus your luggage likely to be thrown on roof for the journey which takes double the time of a taxi.

I%26#39;ve arrived unpacked and been sitting down to breakfast in the past when the coach has arrived at my hotel:-)

Boo

Hi, definitely worth getting a taxi as like Boo said you can be at the hotel before everyone else on the coach and don%26#39;t have to stop at all the other hotels on the way. Rob who lives/works over there recently confirmed that the Government taxi prices are still the same rates as on the following link:

We%26#39;ve got a taxi booked to take us to Apora, which is a stone throw from Baga and we%26#39;re paying 800rps.
