We are planning a trip to India in March and know TGS Tours Ltd. is a ';egit'; tour company, but can%26#39;t find anyone that has really used them. If anyone had could you post your comments or private message me and I%26#39;ll contact you! The destination expert for Jaipur works for them and that helps but would like other recommendations as well. Thank you!

Hello.
I am Danish and my English is not very good, but I will try to answer your question.
We are home now from nearly 4 weeks in India on a tour arranged by myself and – not least - TGS Tours by Nikhil Pandit.
Though I had found most hotels myself, I got a very good help from NP when deciding, and then he took care of the booking. Several times I changed my mind and he was very helpful and changed the bookings.
When we arrived in India Nikhil Pandit called us and welcomed us to the country and asked, if we needed some help.
During our holliday NP several times called us to check if everything was OK. And all that he had arranged was OK. Hotels, taxi, train + car and driver.
We got so much help both before we travelled and when we were in India and I will note hesitate to give them all the best reccomandations.
If you have some specific questions please write to me:
lviggers@hotmail.com
And one little detail:
I worried about many things and every time I wrote a mail to Nikhil Pandit, he immediately wrote back and took away my worries.
Regards
Lis

ooops, I mean ';legit';!
WE are from Brazil, just travelling in India, now we are in Jodphur. We staied 5 days in Rajasthan with TGS and all that we could say about them is FANTASTIC.We had a very good car (Toyota Innova) and driver. Moreover wed had from them a lot of personal atention, even we were invited for a drink in a nice club in Jaipur.Nikkil Pandit and Manjari provided everithing that we needed, even reconfirming hotels that wr have made reservations by ourselves. When we arrived in Jaipur late evening from Delhi we had a problem on our hotel reservation, made by my own,With Travelguru. The resevation was made 2 months ago, paid and confirmed. But when we arrved there there was no room to us.We became very angry and desolated(WE will made a full report after go back home),so I decided call Nikkil Panjit to help us.He met we at the hotel, spoke many times with Travelguru. After that, everything was OK.We dont know what could happened to us without ';Saint'; Nikkil Panjari.Unforgetable help.Be sure that you will not find easily people like Nikkil Panjit and wis wife Manjari.By now its what we would like to say about our lovely travel in India that will last on november 23th
Hello! We have just returned from a 9 day trip to Delhi, Rajasthan %26amp; Agra planned by TGS (Nikhil Pandit) %26amp; ourselves. Rest assured you will be in great hands if you use TGS.
Nikhil responds very promptly by email. We planned our itinerary together via email. He suggested places to visit while we did our research, which was invaluable. He answered all our queries %26amp; was upfront with the pricing which is what we really appreciate. It%26#39;s very different when you are in India when prices are not upfront %26amp; things get added on as you go along!!!
When we first arrived in Delhi, we got a call from Nikhil while in the car! That was a reassuring factor for us. I mean we had gone ahead with our booking through the strength of emails %26amp; our good gut feel abt TGS! In fact we got calls everyday from him %26amp; we deeply appreciated the high level of personal involvement Nikhil had with us throughout the trip. When we reached Jaipur, he even took time to have drinks with us at his club. That%26#39;s hard to beat!
We had a Toyota Innova which was spacious, clean %26amp; comfortable. The airconditioning worked great. Our driver was excellent %26amp; very dependable. Driving conditions in India are treacherous %26amp; to have a very good driver is paramount.
BTW Nikhil owns TGS. It%26#39;s his company! Most of his staff have worked for the company for more than 15 years. Our driver in Delhi has worked for the co for more than 20 years!
We would unreservedly recommend TGS. Feel free to contact me via TA if you like.
Hi!
I%26#39;d like to add to the recommendations of the respondents who%26#39;ve already sung high praises of Nikhil Pandit and TGS. I was using TripAdvisor to scout out a routing for a trip to Delhi-Agra-Rajasthan over Christmas-New Years 2006-07 with my wife and 20 year old son. After a few postings I decided to use TGS - Nikhil%26#39;s responses to my queries were always very quick and the feedback of several references he gave me was overwhelmingly positive.
What a trip we had! Everything - hotels, tour guides, our driver, the itinerary - was great.
We too enjoyed drinks at Nikhil%26#39;s club and received phone calls throughout the trip (about 2 weeks) to be sure that all was okay. I could go on and on...we saw so much and really treasured a journey made so very enjoyable by Nikhil%26#39;s company.
We%26#39;re actually returning to India this year over the same time period, this time to Tamil Nadu and Kerala in south India. After a few questions emailed to Nikhil he%26#39;s gone ahead and booked all of our arrangements for this trip. We%26#39;re looking forward to getting back to India and to another wonderful experience with TGS Tours.
Have fun! Eric
I just got back from India (3 weeks ago) and use TGS services when we visited Jaipur and Agra. My friends and I had a superb experience! It was definitely a hassle-free trip. We are sincerely grateful to Nikhil Pandit of TGS for providing an excellent personalize service. Our driver, Vinay, our tour guides, KK and Raj, are also wonderful!
I know we drove him crazy with all our inquiries via email before we left New York, but Nikhil patiently answered every single one of it. He accommodated all our requests and gave us insights on the places we wanted to visit.
He originally invited us for a drink at his club while in Jaipur but we ended up having dinner with him instead. He even met with us briefly while attending a business trip in Delhi. What a great guy!
Enjoy India and take your time. There are so many places to see. Rajasthan is fascinating! My only regret is not staying longer to explore. So I promise to go back and will most certainly use Nikhil%26#39;s travel agency. TGS HAS MY HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!

I live in Spain. My friend and I spent two weeks in India this summer and we used the services provided by TGS Tours for the trip in Rajasthan. It was recommended by a friend of mine who lives in India, because when hiring services through the Internet it is hard to trust an agency if you have never been to the country (this was our first trip to India). We had hotel reservations on our own, so we only requested services for transportation (car+driver) and they helped a lot suggesting not only the type of car but also alternative itineraries so that we could have the oportunity of seeing as much as possible in the few days we had: in less than one week we went to Jaipur, Bikaner (desert), Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Ranakpur, Udaipur and we had the great experience of staying at a house of an Indian family in Bikaner and they took us to the desert.
Nikhil and Manjari wellcomed us in Jaipur and made us feel at home, the treatment was very personal and warm so we actually felt we were with friends. They invited us for a drink one day, we had dinner some other night, they called regularly to check up on us But the part we are most grateful for is that Nikhil helped us a lot one day when we were sick (very sick) in Johdpur, he called a doctor, sent someone to buy medicines and gave us advise on what to do.
It is very important to have someone you can count on when you are travelling alone in a distant country and for us it was a great experience meeting them, not only as a tour service but also as wonderful people. Definitively recommend it!

I just got back from India on Nov 27, 2008. This was my first ever trip to India and we had TGS tours - Nikhil Pandit and Manjari organize our tour. We travelled from Nov 7, 2008 to Nov 22, 2008 inclusive from Udaipur, Rankpur, Jodphur, Rathmobore Forest, Bhartphu, Jaipur, Agra and Delhi. We travelled in Toyota Innova and was very comfortable SUV which can accommmodate at least 5 passengers, but it was only two of us. Our trip was well organized and we were met by his company%26#39;s representatives at Udaipur Airport and at Jodpur hotel, Jaipur Aiport and hotel. Tour guides were provided at each of the cities we visited. They were all on time and the driver provided was very experienced. Nikhil or Manjari called and followed up with us at at every city and making sure if everything was going well. All hotels booked were excellent. We had provided a budget to them for hotels and our expecations were exceeded. Nikhi provided in advance a proposed list of hotels and we checked their reviews in Lonely Planet or in this forum and readily made adjustments where necessary. In fact we worked with them via email in planning the trip over two months and they were very patient with us. Overall our trip was a memorable one. For instance; there was flight delay from Jodphur to Jaipur of course not their fault, but text messaged us and the representative arranged for late check out at the hotel at no additional cost. Nilhil and Manjari and their representatives are truly professional and I thoroughly enjoyed my trip and I can truly recommened them. We have heard some horror stories, but TGS came through as very reliable, honest and customer service oriented.
TGS was an amazing company.. I will be brief. We had a flawless tour with wonderul drivers.. Nikhil kept on top of the daily route, calls , messages . we had the driver with toyota, a wonderful comfortable car. I highly recommend TGS. They are one professional company, with a touch of professionalism n kindness even tho they r a tour company.. i did not think they ran for the money which often is case in in many countries. it was in fact an amazing jesture when we were in jaipur, they met with us in person!! now thta is service.. At some short future date, as i have just arrived from BOM, i will high light the best of my 2 months trip to INDIA a part of which was made a superb holiday by TGS.. The above comments of the gentlemen are very true as we had traveled together for the first segement in rajesthan..delhi agra with TGS%26gt;. so i have no hesitations, in fact at all, in recommending this fine caring TGS company..you can email me at malimu@hotmail.com if you need more information about my trip to india .
