im off to india by myself in august. the travel agent tried to scare me by saying that the visa was very hard and laborious to get and that it would be best if i got my hotels with them so that they could help me with the visa

is it that hard? she said i needed refernces and all sorts for applying :(

Started doing it online and was a real headache to be honest, kept freezing etc so just printed form from here

Not sure where you are from in South Wales though janmal as there is now a new visa centre in Splot, Cardiff where you can take them yourself and save all the postage and postal order fee. We had literally posted ours in the morning and found it out the same afternoon - we only live 10minutes away. Never mind,now have our visas sitting ready for 2 weeks time. Su

From my understanding, you apply for your visa online, then print the application form, sign it and post to VFS, together with your passport, so that the visa can be entered in it.

If you have anymore specific questions feel free to ask, people who know more than me will be able to help you.

I did mine in person.

Doing it online just means that you fill out the form online, then you need to print the completed form and send off as normal.

The price for a visa is £30 each, but it ended up costing more like £100 for 2 of us by the time we%26#39;d got passport photos done, bought the Special Delivery Envelopes, paid postage on these and PAID to make out a postal order.

Hello sista su. Where in Cardiff is new visa centre, bit nearer for me. Im in Bristol. I normally go to Birmingham for visa, make a day of it doing a bit of shopping. Make a change to go elsewhere.
