Where to stay in Goa?

Hi

We are thinking of going to Goa next year in March or April and were wondering where abouts in Goa is best and looking for any Hotel suggestions.

Thanks

Where to stay in Goa?

Do you like it busy or quiet?

Where to stay in Goa?

Not too busy and crowded, quite quiet but with lots of bars and restaurants

Thanks

I%26#39;d recommend Calangute..

Its busy when you want it busy....but has lots of lovely quiet parts.....

I can recommend The Nizmar Resort....

I would say Candolim (which is the resort next to Calungute) fits your criteria, not quite as busy and plenty of hotels and restaurants too.

I would recommend South , Cavelossim , we are just back from there superb Holiday.

Hi Dream city, having spent 12 trips to the North which is very busy particularly Baga/Calungute areas. We stayed in the Candolim area (Calungute end)where the sun beds were far enough apart so that you didn%26#39;t feel part of the family alongside you! Loads of bars and restaurants and of course excellent beach shacks.

However, the past 2 years we have stayed South close to Varca and much prefer the lazy lifestyle - it is in fact more like the North was when we first went in 96. There are bars and restaurants around but I have to say a lot of people seem to stick to their resort/hotel.The taxis in the South we find are very expensive compared to the North

We rented an apartment last year (and have booked a larger one for next year) It was absolutely fabulous although a little small but it was to European standards and the price reflected this, but we felt it was worth every penny. Check out the internet websites that rent abroad. If you want details of the one I used please send personal message as advertising on this forum is a no go.

It is so much more peaceful in the south the beaches are lovely and quiet and we now find the north manic but not everyone is the same you may prefer to spend time in both and decide for yourself

good luck wherever you decide to stay
