Anyone stayed at Don joao Anjuna ?

Hello fellow travellers............



Thinking of staying at don Joao Ahjuna Goa......



Whats it like ? Only stayed at Candolim before Whats Anjuna like ?



Much to do ? Where is it near ? How far from Candolim ? Going on my own (Single female ) .........................





Anyone stayed at Don joao Anjuna ?


Did you ever get to stay there? I am planning to stay at the Don Joao in Nov and would appreciate any feedback should you have any.

It%26#39;s a right dump mate.





We stayed 2006 / 2007 season, for all of about an hour.





If you have booked this already, and your room is substandard.





Get a taxi to Candolim, and find some cheap digs in a room or a hotel there.





I can%26#39;t remember the name of the guesthouse we stayed in, but it%26#39;s right opposite ';Inferno'; and you can get a room there for 700 rupee%26#39;s a night (£8).





You can use the facilities at Silver sands, cos its a sister hotel.

can%26#39;t agree with mrgoa.... we had a pleasant stay... very courteous n helpful staff.. and a homely feeling..




Im staying there in december for christmas and new year with my children. As long as im near a beach on christmas day thats what i care about!!




we stayed here christmas 2007 it was a late deal allocation on arrival our first day here and i wanted to leave , anjuna is not the nicest place the rep wanted a stupid amount of money to move us ,we stayed put we didnt spend a lot of time in the room very basic no aircom but it was ok as dec is not like april ,the staff at the don joao are very nice ,we used to go the the beach at vagator ,and still do . at the end of our stay i was quite sad to leave don joao ,so dont let first impressions get you down would i stay there again ,well i wouldnt make such a fuss about it if i was allocation on arrival would i book it , NO there are lots of hotels in goa ,we do flight only and find our own .....
