It was reported in the Hindu paper this morning that security at Trivandrum and all Kerala airports is being tightened.
Therefore please allow extra time for check in, customs, and immigration, both outward and inbound. Expect your hand baggage to be checked before you enter the departure lounge. This is done at present but only at random.

There is no cause for alarm as these security measurse happen many time throught the year and indeed, through out the World with out anything actually happening.
