Visiting Tamilnadu

I%26#39;m Segran, together with my wife and son of 9 years old, are planning to visit Tamilnadu beginning on the 02/12/08 to 10/12/08. We are interested to visit temples and places of Hindu religious importance. We wish to visit : a) Aru Padai Veedu and Marudamalai except Palani, b) Chidambaram, c) Thiruvotriyur (Chennai), d) Thiagaraja Swami Temple, e) Thirunageswaran Temple, f) Thiruvaroor Sivan temple, g) Nagai Mavattam Sikkal Murugan Temple, h) Thiruvisaloor, i) Rameshwaram,

j) Melmarvathur and other Sakthi/Sivan Temples in and around Chennai or nearby.

We are looking for a travel/tour agent, who would charge a reasonable rate. Is it possible for one to hire a car and travel to these places? What are the car rental rates like?

How much does a reasonable budget hotel costs around at around Mount Rd?

Hi Ms. Deepa, Thank you for your kind info. You are right, templenet does provide useful info but ttdc is unconnectable - probably having network problems. I was recommended 2 hotels : Maris and Singapore hotels. Would you be kind to advice me pls? My budget is US30 for hotel. I think a hotel nearby to ttdc office would be more helpful for my travels. Also I was recommended a tour/travel agency known as Friends Travel/Tour agency (similar sounding name)

Frankly I don%26#39;t know enough about hotels in US$30 budget, sorry :( Have you seen the hotels listed in the tripadvisor section? You can sort by price.
