Recent restaurant tips?

Things seem to change quite frequently in Goa. A lot of the restaurant reviews are very inconsistent - some places which were great last year, seem to be a load of rubbish now.

Anyone want to recommend some always reliable restaurants and beach shacks in Calangute/Candolim?

(And a good place to get a beer, of course!)

For a Beer Babutes on top. Zicos, Public bar. Restaurants to many to mention, just try them everyones taste are so different.

East meets West still very good.......

Sulimins Kitchen excellent ( i think thats how spell it)

Le Reverie.. very posh and a little bit dearer

Sousa Lobos great seafood

Oriental.. near Molly Malones

Just look for a crowded shack and that will be good..

Our favourite this year was Over the Flames on the main road towards Candolim, you need to book or get there early. If you previously enjoyed the Little Italy in Candolim as we have in the past its gone downhill, huge price increases and half the size pizzas.

I will second the recommendation for %26#39;Over the Flames%26#39; Excellent fillet steaks and reasonable prices. Free floor shows most nights so call in and reserve a good table.
