Calangute Monday September 15th 2210

Temp in Apartment is 28 degrees and it is raining cats and dogs.

Arrived at 0930am(2 hrs late as the plane had to return to Colombo with a problem and be swapped)

Weather at that time a bit of cloud and a bit of sun.

Plenty of puddles everywhere which speaks of heavish rain that has not had time to drain away.

Time for sleep now will report on temp weather and exchange rate tomorrow.

Weather seems a bit similar to UK... WET.

And problems with flights here too.. Collapse of XL

Calangute Tuesday September 16th.

First thanks for the wishes and Steph if it was the year 2210 i%26#39;d be really happy.Would have been getting my pension for so long that I would surely have got more back than I had paid in.A hard thing to do.

Time now 2025 and its really dark.Temperature in the apartment a pleasant 28 degrees.Honeybee a little cooler.

Had some rain over night that carried on a bit until about 0700 then the sun came up.Except for the bad puddles things have dried up.So as you can guess its a little humid,but nothing that a couple of Kings dosn%26#39;t cure.

Was dry and a little sunny all day except for a couple of spits of rain around 1630 but the ground didn%26#39;t even get wet

Havent seen the beach yet.too busy settling in and getting organised but am told that its a little dirty after the monsoon,

The pound was at 82.50 in the Centurion bank and 82.80 on the street at 1400.

Taxi from The airport,the fixed price place just opposite the exit was 650 rps so no change there.

Dosn%26#39;t look like any bucks have been spent on roads infrastructure by the potholes everywhere BUT some being spent at Dabolim with new taxiways etc underway.

Pleased to hear that the sun%26#39;s come out. Lucky you spending the whole winter in Goa :-)
