Last nights market was very very busy and they are hoping to keep it going until the end of April.

Good - thought that would make you all happy.

My friend said she did not have time to go for anything to eat and had to have it at her stall. She is always busy but said it was manic last night - also lots of domestic tourists who were spending well.

Hi, What night market is this. I stayed in the North last year and there are a couple up there. Is this one close to Calvelossim. Not going until next Feb though.

Sat night in Arpora.....North Goa

I was at the Arpora Sat Night Market last night and I agree, it was VERY busy - packed!!

I was jamming for a bit in the bar just outside the main entrance - singing Blues and Rock with some musician friends of mine who play there every Saturday night, whether the market is on or not.

A bit of a mixed bag on the main Market Stage, and then the Police stopped the Live Music at around 10.30pm, much to the annoyance of my Sound Engineer friends who were doing the P.A.. They managed to get the Fire Eaters on after that though, with taped music!! Does it make any sense at all??????

Sounds like the market is really worth a visit. Am looking forward to a really good mooch.

Talking to my taxi driver neighbour this morning and he said it took him more than an hour to get to the market on Saturday night due to the amount of traffic. The worst bit was the narrow bridge at Arpora (always is) where it is 1 way traffic. The second time he went a different route but the line of traffic would not let him join so he sat at the cross roads for the same amount of time he sat waiting to cross the bridge.

If it is taking this long PLEASE take a bottle of water (or something) with you - you will be glad of it as it can get hot in a standing taxi.
