Just retuned from the leela, Mini bar price for a johnny walker scotch 1 shot size 600rs!

The rooms are good,We had a sea view patio ,

The breakfast is good if you can put up with waiters removing everthing they think you might have finished with, and relaying the table as you eat

...no thank you.Cleaners and such like are excellent, however managment leaves much to be desired!! You might have to put up with police in there droves, if a minor minister stays, the Mosque sparks up with there continual whailing, then about 11pm firework mortars will blast you back to wakefulness. They take the mik on food prices,I%26#39;ll pay good money, but this in a land where things are cheaper, they think I%26#39;m stupid ! I%26#39;m sorry but I won%26#39;t be going there again, they tell you relaxing!! far from it,Back to South Goa next time, if you know where to go!!! Let me know how you get on, everyone%26#39;s different! Mac %26amp; Jeannie

Hi Elaine, I returned from theLeela last month, an also there last year. Although a holiday this year was spent visiting friends faily in Cochin, and helping a family in Kottayam, but bst of all was helping Paul aka pdizzy ith the amazing effort he puts in day after day with the beautiful children in the happy childrens home, our quest for better lives goes on.... as for the Leela. we have made many friends there from Dinish Lal second chef, to many others... I think personally is down to what you want from a country you can hate it or embrace it, we embraced it all of it. India is a vast country but Kerela in particular is spectacular, every one is out to help one another. The Leela has many rooms on offer it depends on your budget, and requirements. We stayed in the Pavilion rooms last year, all beit away from the main hotel, and a little annoying if you want something in the hotel. The room service is very good, a buggy will come in mins to collect you to take you to the main hotel The sea view rooms are probably the best value, excellent right in the hart of the hotel, and cheaper than the Pavilio rooms. The club I am told are expensive and not worth paying the extra money. All the guests we met said they wish they hadnt booked the club, as it is a hotel within a hotel, and the Leela has it all, yes it is expensiv, but you get what you pay for. Most guests in the cluate in the terrace restaurnat. They dont inform you at the reception but... there is a happy hour from 6 til 8 every night so make use of the 2 for 1 offer, on local beers and spirits, there is also a lovely restaurnat on the beach called tides, they also have buffet evening which are lovely. So much to tell if you want to know more send me a message, but enjoy you will love it.

We stayed in the standard sea view rooms and they were brilliant.Mini bar is expensive but fill it up with duty free, breakfast is a very good buffet.Free use of gym if you like that thing.Dont know about the club rooms but I cant see how they can improve on the Standard rooms

Definately stay at the leela its fantastic! If you like privacy then stay at the pavillion rooms which we loved but if you like to be in the heart of it all stay in the sea view rooms.

Thanks alot; your reply is a big help, as we were going to book a pavillion room, but not now. is there ground and 1st floor sea view rooms if so which is best?. in kuoni brochure there is not a sea view room, only superior room, delux room, pavillion, and club. do you know which one is the sea view?? thanks again.x

thank for your reply, is a sea view patio, a superior room, or a delux room? and are both types of room central to the main part of hotel? do rooms have a kettle? as these are the options in the kuoni book, we are also staying in south goa for 5 nights, also the leela.thanks again x

thanks for that, which rooms are nearest to centre of hotel? superior, or delux rooms? thanks again x

thanks for that, are the sea view rooms suoerior or delux rooms? are there tea, coffee in the rooms? thanks again, that was a good tip about putting our duty frees in mini bar. thanks again x

thanks for your reply, can you tell me how far away the pavilion rooms are to the main hotel bars? thanks again x
