Romance Cocohuts -Agonda beach, Goa

If anyone is heading to Goa and looking for a quiet beach where they can experience real goan hospitality i cannot recommend this place more highly.

I stayed at Romance Cocohuts on Agonda beach in January 2008. I had a fantastic bamboo hut overlooking the beach. There were two hammocks underneath. A bathroom was attached, it had a cold shower which is perfect for the indian beach climate. You do not need air conditioning here as the breeze from the sea is perfect. The huts were kept very clean.

I was travelling by myself and felt safe at all times at Romance Cocohuts. Abdul and his wife Sarah made me feel so welcome and were always there to offer water, chai or a motobike trip if i needed it. their generosity was immense.

if i required breakfast Abdul%26#39;s wife gave me trasitional indian style breakfast on my veranda- perfect to start the day.....

I will be returning here very soon.

If you want to book these huts contact Abdul on 9422744190 or 9423814236 or e-mail him on romance_cocohuts@yahoo.co.in

We also stayed at these huts in Jan 08

I fully agree they are brilliant.

Our hut had western toilet and shower electric power point and lights also mozzie net, the bed was more comfy than the hotel one !

To hear the waves crashing while you are in bed is something else a wonderful change from the comercialism of baga/candolim/calangute.

Agonda is a lovely little place catering for the budget minded traveller, we had good food and the general hospitality was wonderful.

The local long stay '; Hippies '; even invited us to their beach barbeq.

The turtle nests are right there well looked after, and if there%26#39;s any action during the night, the guys will give you a call so you can witness the event.

If you plan some chill out time while in Goa this is the place.

Shhhhh!

we want to keep it a secret!

I came to Agonda, India by booking on internet. I arrived in evening. I did a booking for two nights in one of huts with the help of review on tripadvisor, but next morning. I went on the beach, I saw a colorful huts. It was really beautiful so, I booked my rest of holiday in Romance Co-co Huts.

It was so... ‘Amazing’……… I liked the huts. It is uncomparable on Agonda beach. I like the way it is build on height, more comfortable with perfect sea view, I fall in love with Agonda. In fact I wanted to stay 4 nights in Agonda but with the lovely huts I end up with 2 weeks.

Romance Hut located in middle of Agonda it is inside but from the beach one can make out easily. Anybody who go to Agonda must stay in Romance because the atmosphere is so nice that no music, so clean, no disturbance so peaceful that I can’t express my self

I rate best huts in Agonda.

The service so fantastic it is manage by Indian fly Abul %26amp; Sara they have also restaurant it is new but very good Indian food. I really can’t recommend it enough!

A great place that I recommend to all traveler, my friends %26amp; fly.

Anyone know what the rates are for these huts? Am still trying to work out what hut/tent that we%26#39;re going to visit whilst there. So far have Kola beach in mind. Anyone have experience of both these places and could say which is the better option. Thanks.

Also we%26#39;re there in April so will obviously be hotter than january (when original poster stayed), will it be too hot without a/c?

Hello friend,

I have been to both the places but kola is isolated, the best to go %26amp; visit kola is in a daytime.Agonda is the best beach. If you want to stay in Agonda, the best place for holidays relaxing is Romance Co-co Huts.

Personaly I prefer Madhus. Shekhar is great and the food is so good. Next door to Romance is Harmony beehives which is much cheaper but they dont have adjoined facilities but it a much more basic experience and I really enjoyed it there this last time.
